Girl Guides and Calgary Transit partner for Transit Trailblazers Scavenger Hunt!
In a unique partnership aimed at fostering confidence in young commuters, Calgary Transit and Girl Guides kick off a scavenger hunt at Chinook Station on Sept. 23. Guides of all ages will be exploring and familiarizing themselves with Calgary’s public transit system.
The Transit Trailblazers scavenger hunt will provide a real-world learning experience, as young participants work to complete a series of interactive challenges and answer questions as they journey through Chinook Station.
“The scavenger hunt offers a hands-on approach to learning how to ride and navigate Calgary Transit,“ said Director of Calgary Transit Sharon Fleming. “This event is a fantastic opportunity to shape future Transit riders by turning the experience of public transit into a fun and educational adventure.”
Girl Guides will receive a specially designed Transit Trailblazers badge upon completion of the activity, as a symbol of their newfound independence and skills in navigating the city.
Transit is thrilled for this new partnership and looks forward to hosting the Girl Guides at this one-of-a-kind event!
