North Pointe Park and Ride Construction is resuming
Construction is about to resume as part of the North Pointe Park and Ride lot improvement project. Work is scheduled to begin the week of April 18. Here’s what to expect:
What construction activities will be taking place?
Remaining work in the lot includes:
- Installation of apron tie-ins to Harvest Hills Boulevard and Country Village Link N.E.
- north-to-south sidewalk construction
- east aisle tree and island removals
- storm water manhole and oil-grit separator installation
Will the Park and Ride be closed for construction?
The Park and Ride will remain open throughout construction, but there will be additional parking restrictions in place as needed. Later in the spring, there will be a temporary road closure on northbound Harvest Hills Boulevard that will close access to the Park and Ride from the west, but access will remain open on the east side (from Country Village Link N.E.).
Will there be road closures during construction?
Yes, there will be closures on northbound Harvest Hills Blvd:
- FULL CLOSURE of northbound Harvest Hills Blvd: 7 p.m. on Friday, May 27 straight through until 9 a.m. on Monday, May 30
- Both northbound lanes and the east sidewalk on Harvest Hills Boulevard adjacent to the Park and Ride lot will be closed
- Both southbound lanes will remain open
- The west sidewalk on Harvest Hills Boulevard will remain open
- SINGLE LANE CLOSURE on northbound Harvest Hills Blvd: 9 a.m. on Monday, May 30 for approximately two weeks
- One northbound lane and the east sidewalk on Harvest Hills Boulevard adjacent to the Park and Ride lot will be closed
- One northbound lane and both southbound lanes will remain open
- The west sidewalk on Harvest Hills Boulevard will remain open
During this time, the park and ride lot can only be accessed using the entrance on Country Village Link N.E. The entrance located on Harvest Hills Boulevard N. will be temporarily closed.
Access to the park and ride lot will be maintained during construction, however detours and areas with temporary parking restrictions will be in place.
