Holiday Service, 2023

Over the holidays we adjust our service hours.

On Christmas Day and Boxing Day, buses, CTrains, and On Demand will be operating on a Sunday level of service. Transit will be regular price.

Heading to check out the fireworks on New Year’s Eve? Please note there will be some bus detours in place during the show. See below for more details.

To help you get home safely, Calgary Transit will have extended service on New Year’s Eve, and all transit service will be free, courtesy of TD!

Sunday, Dec 31 Transit service is free on New Year's Eve, courtesy of TD.	The Red Line will run every 10 minutes until around 21:30 and then switch to every 15 minutes. The Blue Line will run every 13-15 minutes all day. Service will end around 4 a.m. Bus: Service extended for Routes: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 22, 301, 302, MAX Orange, MAX Yellow, MAX Teal and MAX Purple. These buses will run every 30-35 minutes. Last trips will leave downtown at approximately 3 a.m. On Demand service operating on Sunday schedule and level of service.

Calgary Transit Access hours

Please note all regular bookings (with the exception of dialysis) will be cancelled from December 23, 2023 - January 7, 2024, inclusive. If your subscription booking is still required during those dates, please use the CTA online booking app or call Calgary Transit Access at 403-537-7777, option #2 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to make an occasional booking. Regular bookings will automatically resume on January 8, 2024
