Heritage Day 2025

Beginning July 16, 2025, mobile tickets (on our My Fare and Transit apps) will need to be validated on our platforms before boarding a CTrain.

Over the next year, 160 brand-new community shuttle buses will our fleet, replacing older models to deliver a more comfortable, cost-effective ride. 

We’ve heard that there have been advertisements on social media for 6-month transit passes for $3.00. These advertisements are fake, and do not come from The City of Calgary or Calgary Transit.

We’re increasing CTrain service June 21 to June 25 to help meet customer demand during the Rotary 2025 International Convention, with over 15,000 delegates attending.

As part of upcoming geotechnical survey work, portions of the Fish Creek Station Park & Ride will be temporarily closed on June 20 and 21.

Throughout the year, we review our bus routes and schedules to see if there are areas where we can improve service. We take several factors into consideration, including feedback and ridership levels, to ensure we’re meeting the needs of Calgarians. The Summer Service Changes come into effect on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Starting April 7, youth aged 15–21 with disabilities can sign up for Calgary Transit’s Get on Board Travel Training Camp.

Brentwood LRT Station platform shelter renovations are complete. 

Starting in January 2025, Calgary Transit fares are changing.

We’re shopping for new 40-foot battery electric buses (BEBs) and battery electric shuttle buses as part of our move to low- or zero-emission vehicles.
